§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe have received reports from the Kurdish administration in northern Iraq of increased Iraqi troop movements and deployments in the area. We are assessing these reports and are monitoring the situation closely with our coalition allies.
We require the Iraqi regime to comply with United Nations resolution 688 which called on Iraq to cease the repression of its civilian population.
