HL Deb 21 March 1994 vol 553 c19WA
Lord Marlesford

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will now arrange for the route from the north side of Tower Bridge to the M25 to be clearly signed so as to facilitate use of the new roads and tunnels between Wapping and the point on the A13 where the signs to the M25 start at present.

Lord Mackay of Ardbrecknish

The A 13 is the primary radial route on the north side of the river linking the City to the M25. The new Docklands Highways are designed to serve the development in the Isle of Dogs and the Royal Docks.

The department is planning a project to introduce a new primary route system for London. No significant changes to signing will be introduced in advance of this project being implemented.
