Whether time spent on remand in secure accommodation will count towards a secure training order in the same way as it counts towards other determinate custodial sentences.
Earl FerrersParagraph 7 of Schedule 9 to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Bill would provide for the secure training order to be included in the provisions of Section 67 of the Criminal Justice Act 1967. This would ensure that the period of custody within an individual's secure training order was reduced by any period he or she had spent on remand in secure accommodation.
