To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the projects which have received rough sleepers initiative funding during 1993–94, the amounts allocated and the London boroughs in which they are located.

As part of the rough sleepers initiative in central London my Department has allocated grant aid in 1993–94 under section 73 of the Housing Act 1985 to the housing associations and voluntary organisations shown in the following table.

In addition, the Housing Corporation has made capital allocations of £67 million to 23 housing associations to provide at least 1,500 places in permanent accommodation for people who are in hostels or on the streets to move on to.
