§ Mr. HanleyThere are currently some 2,260 armed forces personnel serving in the Adriatic and some 2,450 on the ground in the former Yugoslavia. In addition, some 650 Royal Air Force personnel are based in Italy in support of United Nations and NATO air operations in theatre.
