To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to the answer of 28 February,Official Report, column 536, if he will list the grade 2* listed buildings for which consent to demolish has been given.

Grade 2* listed buildings for which consent to demolish was given during the period 1 January 1982 to 31 March 1993 are:

  • Allanby house, Maryport, Cumbria
  • Dogmersfield park, Hampshire
  • 2 Lansdown crescent, Cheltenham
  • Old Farmhouse, Manor House farm, Crawford, Lancashire
  • Campsall hall, South Yorkshire
  • Welton grange, Humberside
  • Clayhouse barn, Halifax
  • Kerswell priory, Devon
  • Oakfield, Sulhampstead Bannister, Berkshire
  • Coachman's cottage, Studley, Warwickshire
  • Old hall, Manor road, Bishop Auckland
  • Ditchett hall, Shepton Mallett, Somerset
  • 9 Queen street, Droitwich, Worcestershire
  • Port East warehouses, North Quay, West India docks, London Hinxton hall, Hinxton, Cambridgeshire—curtilage buildings listed in their own right
  • Hammerhead Crane, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear
  • Details of buildings for which consent was given prior to 1982 are not readily available.
