§ Mr. Peter LloydBrecqhou forms part of the baliwick of Guernsey and its constitutional status in relation to the United Kingdom is the same as any other part of the bailiwick. The bailiwick is an internally self-governing dependency of the Crown, which is ultimately responsible for the bailiwick's good government. The United Kingdom is directly responsible for the bailiwick's defence and international relations. In exercising its responsibilities for the bailiwick, the Crown operates through the Privy936W Council and my right hon. and learned Friend is the Privy Counsellor with particular responsibility for bailiwick matters.
Immigration control from outside the common travel area to Brecqhou is the same as that to any other part of the bailiwick. Rules relating to immigration and the rights of foreigners to work are governed by the Immigration Act 1971, and the rules made thereunder, as amended and extended to the bailiwick.
