To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment she has made of the adequacy of animal health controls.

Mr. Soames

We take the threat of animal disease very seriously and constantly reassess the adequacy of our animal health controls.

We are not complacent and have taken those steps we consider necessary to safeguard our high animal health status.
