To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what progress is being made with a view to securing enterprise zone status for the Trawsfynydd-Blaenau Ffestiniog travel-to-work area in Meirionnydd Nant Conwy; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Redwood

The South Gwynedd partnership is working up a case for an enterprise zone in that area.
