§ Ms WalleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment he has made of the implications for the payment of European regional development fund funds to(a) trust ports, (b) former trust ports now privatised and (c) trust ports eligible for compulsory privatisation under the Ports Act 1991.
§ Mr. NorrisUnder the present rules, there are no special implications for trust or former trust ports. It is open to them to bid for ERDF funds in the same way as all ports. Their bids, as with all ERDF bids, would be assessed by the appropriate regional committee.
