asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will exercise their discretion to allow Mrs. Surinder Kaur Ram and her 11 year-old daughter to remain in England on compassionate grounds, because they have been here for five years and are well settled.

It has been decided on compassionate grounds to allow Mrs. Ram and her daughter to remain in this country exceptionally, initially for a period of 12 months.
