HL Deb 16 June 1994 vol 555 c108WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What arrangements are in force to enable domestic workers, living in England under the terms of the Home Office concession of 1980, to have full access to the National Health Service; and how information on health services is made available to such persons.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

Domestic workers, like anyone else coming to England to take up employment, are not liable to pay for National Health Service treatment except where charging is specifically provided for in legislation. APatient Guide, which summarises the circumstances in which overseas visitors are not liable to pay for NHS treatment, is available in the Library.
