To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the combined output in 1993 as a percentage of gross domestic product of(a) the companies privatised in the last 15 years and (b) those still n the public sector.

Information on the output of companies privatised in the last 15 years is not available on a national accounting basis.

The estimates of output of companies still in the public sector are not yet available for 1993. However, for 1992 the output of these companies was 3.5 per cent. of gross domestic product.
