To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what steps he has taken to increase co-operation with Japan in science and technology.

I am happy to say that I visited Tokyo on 13 June where I signed a formal science and technology agreement with the Japanese Foreign Minister. This marks a further step in our excellent science and technology co-operation with Japan.
