These figures are not included. These figures are the number of new cases registered with cancer registries in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the years shown.
By the end of December 1993 a total of 8,529 AIDS cases were reported to the Public Health Laboratory Service Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre (CDSC) or to the Communicable Diseases and Environmental Health Scotland Unit (CDEHSU). Of these:
- 1,299 were diagnosed in 1991,
- 1,416 were diagnosed in 1992, and
- 1,129 were diagnosed in 1993.
Due to delay in reporting AIDS cases many of those diagnosed in 1992 and 1993 are yet to be reported. The most recent reports from CDSC and CDEHSU estimate that:

2,240 AIDS cases will have been diagnosed in 1993.
