How many deaths were recorded in the United Kingdom for the years 1991, 1992 and 1993 respectively (or for the last three years for which figures are available) resulting respectively from:
- (i) breast cancer
- (ii) cancer of the prostate
- (iii) AIDS
§ Baroness CumberlegeInformation on the number of deaths from breast cancer and prostate cancer for the last three years for which figures are available is given in the table.

By the end of December 1993 a total of 5,653 deaths in reported AIDS cases were reported to the Public Health Laboratory Service Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre (CDSC) or to the Communicable Diseases and Environmental Health Scotland Unit (CDEHSU). Of these:
946 died in 1991,
1,025 died in 1992, and
1,013 died in 1993.
Due to delay in reporting AIDS deaths many of those which occurred in 1992 and 1993 are yet to be reported. The most recent reports from CDSC and CDEHSU estimate that:
1,425 died in 1992, and
1,765 died in 1993.
