To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many vehicles there are in Northern Ireland in the categories(a) private, (b) goods and (c) heavy goods vehicles.

§ Mr. Tim Smith
In December 1992, the date of the last annual census of vehicles licensed in Northern Ireland, there were 502,027 cars and motor cycles, 37,007 light goods vehicles and 16,289 heavy goods vehicles.
