§ Mr. BowisOn 28 December 1993, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health announced that the mental illness specific grant will be increased to £36 million in 1994–95, supporting expenditure of over £51 million, and that it is planned that the grant will continue for at least another three years.
The 1993 public expenditure settlement provided for planning figures of £37.262 million and £38.262 million for 1995–96 and 1996–97 respectively. The planning figures are subject to discussion in future public expenditure rounds.
