To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many children have been murdered or are suspected to have been murdered by members of their immediate families or by those with whom they have been placed in each of the last 10 years.

The table shows the number of offences currently recorded as homicide in England and Wales where the victims were persons under the age of 16 years and the suspect was the parent, other relative or a child minder or nurse:
