HL Deb 11 January 1994 vol 551 c24WA
Lord Tebbit

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, further to the reply given by the Earl of Caithness on 8 December identifying the timetable in the Maastricht Treaty relating to the third stage of economic and monetary union as the "worst bits" of the Maastricht Treaty (H.L. Deb., WA76), they will now list the bad and the worse bits of that Treaty.

Lord Henley

The Government made clear their views on specific parts of the Maastricht Treaty during the passage of the European Communities (Amendment) Act 1993. The Government continue to believe that overall the Treaty is good for the United Kingdom and good for Europe.
