To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information she has on drug costs in each member state of the European Community.

The total levels of public expenditure on drugs supplied to patients in each member state of the European Union is shown in the table. Data on public expenditure cannot be taken to correlate to total expenditure—public and private—as the share of the public sector if total spending differs between countries.
