asked Her Majesty's Government;

The number and percentage of successful individual appeals in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) in the years 1987 to 1993 inclusive, where verdicts have been quashed for whatever reason.

The Lord Chancellor (Lord Mackay of Clashfern)

The number and percentage of successful appeals against conviction to the Court of Appeal Criminal Division in each year since 1987 is as follows:

The percentage figures are the percentage of successful appeals where leave to appeal was given.
