§ Mr. Redmond
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the number and percentage of taxpayers who had incomes of(a) £5 million or more, (b) between £1 million 789W and £5 million, (c) between £500,000 and £1 million and (d) between £100,000 and £500,000 in 1991–92 and 1992–93.

Reliable estimates are available only for the numbers of taxpayers with incomes in excess of £100,000 and are as follows:
