To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has received in response to his consultation on the future of taxi services in London.

Mr. Norris

I have received over 150 representations in response to the consultation paper on the future of taxi and private hire services in England and Wales issued by my Department. Many of these have referred to London. The consultation period ends on 1 March 1994.
