§ Mr. Charles WardleThe immigration rules provide certain periods for which a person seeking entry in various categories should normally be admitted. A person who has lawfully obtained leave to enter will normally be allowed to remain, provided he or she complies with any conditions attached to the leave, until the end of the period granted or the expiry of any variation of that leave.
