To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 27 January,Official Report, column 331, what was the nature of the disclosure of information to a newspaper which may have taken place; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Charles Wardle
The investigation relates to the possibility of unauthorised disclosure to a newspaper of information about an operation conducted by the police and the Immigration Service enforcement directorate.
