My right hon. and learned Friend the Chancellor attended an informal gathering of world economic leaders in Davos on 28–30 January as part of the World Economic Forum's annual meeting. This meeting was not an intergovernmental summit to discuss specific issues; it was an opportunity for international economic policy makers to discuss longer-term trends in the world economy on an informal basis.
