To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement about the future of the A91 road from the M90 to Cupar.

There are at present no plans which would affect the future of the A91 from the M90 to Cupar. The question whether the whole of the A91 should be retained as a trunk road is one which we shall consider as part of an examination of the whole of the trunk and primary route network consequent upon reorganisation of local government.
