To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has had consultations with the United Kingdom's partners in the European Community about the start date of the intergovernmental conference in 1996.

§ Mr. Goodlad
To date has been discussed formally, but most of my colleagues expect the conference to be convened in the first half of 1996.
