§ Mr. David DavisOur views were reflected in a statement issued by the German presidency of the EU on 9 December, on behalf of all EU member countries, expressing concern at the harsh prison sentences imposed on these elected members of the Turkish Parliament, and seeking an explanation from the Turkish Government. We await the outcome of the appeal against the sentences we understand will be made.
