§ Mr. BaldryMy noble Friend the Baroness Chalker of Wallasey visited Burundi in August. She made clear our strong support for the efforts of the UN, in particular the UN Secretary-General's special representative, as well as the Organisation for African Unity, in their attempts to promote national reconciliation and stabilise the situation. We continue to do so. We welcome the recent agreement on power sharing and urge all parties in Burundi to continue to look for a lasting solution to the country's problems.
