§ Mr. SoamesThe successful improvements introduced into the services resettlement programme, following "Options for Change", were developed with the full co-operation and assistance of the Department of Employment. In addition to participating in the strategic planning of the programme, Department of Employment staff work closely with my Department to provide a range of services which ensure that those leaving the armed forces have available the advice, training and job search opportunities to help best exploit their service skills in moving to a second career.
