§ Mr. RichardsFigures for each of the last three years are not available. Information on permanent exclusions from maintained schools in Wales was collected by the Welsh Office over a two-year period, starting with the summer term 1990, under the national exclusions reporting system. A total of 192 permanent exclusions were reported during this period. It is not possible to provide a breakdown of the figure because of assurances given as to confidentiality.
