§ Mrs. BrowningThe current directive on the welfare of animals during transport permits national rules on the protection of horses—which include the United Kingdom's minimum values system—to continue, and this we shall fight to retain. The rules have been in force in this country for many years and are fully implemented by Ministry staff.
