§ Mr. RedwoodDepartmental expenditure in support of its programme of action for people with a disability and the civil service programme for action to achieve equality of opportunity for people with a disability includes costs associated with a number of elements such as the procurement of specialist equipment, positive action training, adaptations of accommodation and buildings, and staff costs and cannot be disaggregated.
The number of staff or staff hours equivalent, allocated to achieve the objectives of the programmes for action cannot be estimated. Successful implementation depends on the co-operation and commitment of a number of staff including the equal opportunities officer, the training officer, personnel specialists, accommodation officers and line managers and also involves consultation with disabled staff.

§ Mr. RedwoodThe number and percentage of registered disabled people in my Department over the last five years is as follows:
