HL Deb 29 April 1994 vol 554 cc55-6WA
The Countess of Mar

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why the family health service authority in Worcester have delayed payment to general practitioners for health promotion work which has already been done.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

Payments for general practitioner health promotion are due at least one day after, but within seven days of, the end of the quarter in which the activity took place. Hereford and Worcester Family Health Services Authority paid GPs for the quarter ended 31 March 1994 on 6 April 1994.
