§ Mr. AtkinsA planning policy guidance note—PPG—on nature conservation will be issued shortly before regulations transposing the habitats directive come into force. Guidance and advice on other aspects of the directive may be provided as appropriate to affected land owners and occupiers and others either by the Government or the statutory nature conservation agencies.
