§ Mr. KeyRegulations introduced on 1 April 1991 included insulin treated diabetes as a bar to entitlement to drive large lorries and buses for new applicants and those first treated with insulin after this date. The effect of diabetes on driving is kept under constant reassessment by the honorary medical advisory panel on driving and diabetes mellitus.
