To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what changes are to be made to the scheme of fees and charges for integrated pollution control operated by Her Majesty's inspectorate of pollution.

Minor technical changes to the HMIP integrated pollution control fees and charges scheme 1993–94 take effect on 26 October 1993. They are necessary to ensure that the scheme fully reflects changes in the governing legislation made by the Environmental Protection (Prescribed Processes and Substances) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1993, SI 1993/2405, which come into operation on that date. Copies of the amendment to the scheme are being placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
