Mr. Blunkett

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list for each year since 1979 the amount of money collected by the national health service in respect of payment for ambulance services to traffic casualties.

No charge is made for the national health service emergency ambulance service.

Income received from Road Traffic Act charges for each year from 1979–80 to 1990–91 in cash terms for England, is set out in the table.
