§ Mr. JackIn 1993–94 my Department will contribute some £167,000 towards five cetacean research projects. The projects are:
- 1. Population biology of cetaceans
- 2. The effects of environmental change on whale populations
- 3. Interaction between cetaceans and man
- 4. ASCOBANS survey of cetaceans in the North sea and Baltic
- 5. Enhancing the acoustic detectability of fishing nets.
