To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Darlington (Mr. Milburn) of 25 March,Official Report, column 712, if he will make a statement on the progress of the review of standard spending assessments.

§ Mr. Baldry
Work on the review of standard spending assessments for 1994–95 is proceeding in consultation with the local authority associations. A substantial programme of work remains and we have not yet reached any conclusions.
