§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyWe maintain regular contact with the Government of China about its population programme through officials in the British Embassy in Peking and through other official channels within and outside China. We continue to monitor China's human rights record and take into account reports of abuses in the formulation of our policy on aid to China.
