Mr. Cousins

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the expenditure on general practitioner prescribed anti-asthma medication and preparations in each family health services authority area in 1992–93; and if he will express that as an expenditure figure per head.

Notes:

  1. 1. The data cover all prescriptions dispensed by community pharmacists and appliance contractors, dispensing doctors, and prescriptions submitted by prescribing doctors for items personally administered.
  2. 2. BNF section based on the September 1991 BNF.
  3. 3. For net ingredient cost per head OPCS 1991 mid-year resident population projections for 1992 have been used.
