To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he wil review Her Majesty's Government's present defence commitment to Belize.

Mr. Hanley

By agreement between the Government of Belize and Her Majesty's Government, the Belize defence force will assume responsibility for the defence of Belize on 1 January 1994. We see no reason to change these plans.
