§ Mr. Llew SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the policy of Her Majesty's Government to monitor, read and respond to reports of the committees of the European Parliament where they(a) deal with United Kingdom matters or (b) are referred to the member state Governments of the European Community.
§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryWe follow the proceedings of committees of the European Parliament and take note of resolutions which the Parliament adopts after considering committees' reports, particularly where these concern United Kingdom matters or where they relate to the legislative process.
