To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on relations with the Government of the Republic of China—Taiwan.

Mr. Goodlad

We have no diplomatic relations with Taiwan. There are however growing commercial and cultural links reflecting Taiwan's increasing economic importance.
