§ Mr. HagueThere have been no recent changes to statutory maternity pay. The Government recently issued a consultation document describing proposed changes to our maternity benefits schemes to implement the maternity pay provisions of the EC pregnant workers directive. The consultation period has ended and the responses are being carefully examined.
