§ Mr. Robin SquireWithin the resources available to them and the priorities they set, it is for each local education authority to determine the funding of the primary and secondary schools which it maintains. The Government are in the process of consulting on the gradual introduction of a common funding formula for self-governing—grant-maintained—schools from 1 April 1994.
