§ Mr. Peter RobinsonTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage when he will issue guidelines for the distribution and potential recipients of the national lottery revenue assigned to sport; and if they will be published.
§ Mr. SproatIt is for the distributing bodies to issue guidelines to applicants for lottery money. These will need to be consistent with the directions which my right hon. Friend will issue under section 26 of the National Lottery 25W etc Act. In the case of sport, I expect that the sports councils will publish their guidelines for applicants next summer.
§ Mr. Peter RobinsonTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage whether Oflot will operate an inspectorate across the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. SproatThe operation of Oflot will be a matter for the Director General. The Director General wall have powers to regulate the operation of the national lottery throughout the United Kingdom.
